
"As an automotive dealership, we understand the importance of both organic and paid search placements as people go online more and more before they purchase a vehicle. We find that most of our customers have already been on our website before they ever walk through our doors. We do our best to capitalize on that fact and have been advertising on Google for quite some time. Before working with ReachLocal, we were running our search engine advertising campaign through our website provider. Unfortunately, we really had no way to track the effectiveness of our PPC advertising. Our website reports lumped our organic and PPC traffic together so we could not differentiate the results we were getting from our advertising investment. It was often difficult to find our ads when we searched for them, and I had a very difficult time getting answers to my questions when I called my website provider. I was getting extremely frustrated with lack of information and customer service.
When I first spoke with our ReachLocal IMC, I was a little bit hesitant to make a shift from what we were used to. Although I wasn’t thrilled with the service we were receiving, it was hard to shift dollars from a company that I was used to working with to spend them with a different vendor. But the ReachLocal product looked great: the clear reporting features, the call recording, and the fact that our advertising investment would be split out from our organic results was all very compelling. I also really liked the fact that our IMC was a local rep and she assured me that she would come in frequently so we could analyze the reports together and that she would be available to address all of my questions. After a great deal of thought and discussion, we chose to make the switch and work with ReachLocal. I am so glad that we did.
The ReachLocal product has been great! Using the reporting, I can see everything that is happening with my PPC campaign. Since making the switch, we have seen a significant increase in activity including website visits, form submissions, and phone calls to our dealership. Our ads are definitely coming up under more search terms than they used to. We even had an independent firm come in to assess our website’s placement on the search engines, and they rated us as one of the best they had seen in terms of paid placement. Most importantly, we are seeing the return on investment every day. We have seen record-setting sales numbers over the past few months and I know that ReachLocal has played a large role in the growth of our business by driving qualified consumers to our website.
As promised, our IMC comes in often to go over reports and is ALWAYS available when I have questions. The excellent customer service makes a huge difference for me. With our last PPC company, it often took 5 or 6 phone calls and a number of days to even have my rep call me back to talk about my questions. When I call my IMC, I always get an immediate response. She has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and always keeps track of what is happening with our campaign.
